MEREDITH MONK: ON BEHALF OF NATURE

Ja, es dreht sich um Natur, Evolution, Klimawandel, Zerstörung, Transformation, aber diese Musik ist ein Akt der Beschwörung, nicht der Belehrung. 74 Jahre hört man der Stimme der Meredith Monk nicht an, wohl aber die, zahlreiche Monde ungebrochene, Kreativität, mit einer kleinen Schar von Sängern und Instrumentalisten unerschöpfliche Musik anzuzetteln, in der Avantgarde und Archaisches eins werden. Ich schaue mir die Herbstliste des letzten Jahres an, gerade die Werke der „New Series“, und rufe wohl morgen mal im Hauptquartier nahe München an, um auch noch Eleni Karaindrou und Gavin Bryars ins Haus zu holen, allesamt Stammgäste der Klanghorizonte seit 1990, und in entlegenen Räumen unterwegs.
