So much great, at least promising stuff forthcoming in January, Febrary and March: Underworld, Brian Panovich (on Suhrkamp Nova), Tortoise (Robert Wyatt was kindly turning down the offer to sing on one track of post-rock-pioneers now playing the game different), David Mitchell („Die Knochenuhren“), Ches Smith (with Craig Taborn and Mat Maneri), Ryan Gattis (a shocking true crime book on certain events of the Los Angeles riots in the early 90’s), Tindersticks (with a short film for every new song on „The Waiting Room“), Italian library music classics & obscurities from the 80’s, Lucinda Williams, John Cale re-imagining his dark masterpiece „Music for a New Society“ (the „old“ one will keep its „classic“ status, the new „take“ is  just a mildly interesting „re-shaping game“ having its „moments“), James Yorkston (a Scottish singer’s trio with bass and sarangi (!)), Michel Benita (see comment 1), M. Ward, Vijay Iyer & Leo Smith. For „home cinema“, we’ll expect the third seasons of „The Bridge“, „Ray Donovan“, and „Banshee“  – three shades of „noir“, „Scandinavic Noir“, „West Coast Noir“ & „Tarantino Noir“! Not to forget Garth Risk Hallberg’s 900-and-more pages thriller „City on Fire“ (S. Fischer, March 2016).
