An einem Samstagmorgen hörte ich in good old Dortmund,

als ich das Radio einschaltete, BFBS, vor langer, langer Zeit, unseren Sender für die englischen Soldaten. Es war ein Samstagvormittag und schon über 20 Grad, und zum ersten Mal (ich kann mich sogar noch an die Stimme des Moderators erinnern) den Song „Here He Comes“, von Brian Enos damals noch nicht erschienenen Album BEFORE AND AFTER SCIENCE. Ich war hin und weg, und musste noch lange Wochen warten, bis das Teil auf meinem Plattenspieler landete. Ich bekam die Platte aus Unterlüss, die erste Auflage, mit den vier Lithographien (?) von Peter Schmidt. Noch heute, wenn ich den Song und natürlich das ganze Album spiele, singe ich den kompletten Text von Here He Comes mit.

    Hallo,
    danke, das nenn‘ ich eine prompte Wiedergutmachung, Julie with…/By this river gehört für mich zu seinen schönsten Songs als (Pop-)Musiker. Wahrscheinlich habe ich das Album auch zuerst im BFBS gehört, allerdings im Nightflight von Alan Bangs.
