In dieser „Nahaufnahme“ geht es um Pioniere der vielbelächelten New Age-Musik, die aber gerade in ihrer frühen Zeiten manch Aufregendes zu Wege brachten, Iasos, Laraaji seien beispielhaft genannt, und das Doppelalbum „I am the Center“, von dem Janek Schaefer mir erzählte: „Da ist so viel wunderschöne Musik drauf.“ Stimmt. Straft einige Vorurteile Lügen. ich spiele Tracks von Laraaji, Iasos, Daniel Kobialka, Gail Laughton, Nesta Kerin Crain, Wilburn Burchette, und Peter Davison. Bis auf Laraaji und Iasos alles recht unbekannte Komponisten, es dürften nur Yogaspezialisten das eine oder andere Stück auf alten Kassetten haben.

Hier starte ich Karl Lippegaus‘ vorproduzierte Reise ins Fillmore East zu Miles Davis‘ „elektrischer Band“. Es ist das Jahr 1970. Ein Klangrausch mit Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Airto Moreira, Steve Grossmann und Dave Holland, der sich über einige Wochentage hinzog. Ich warte, bis der Blues-Mann kommt und um 5.05 Uhr evtl. „I woke up this morning“ spielt.
