Dissapointed first, for „only“ a compilation of mainly yet published songs
was advertised, it though turned out to be worthy – and this is not only
because of the charming, scary coverart of Ms. Kristamas Klousch.
This compilation sounds homogeneous as a whole. Time and again astonishing:
the permanent improvement of soundscape qualities, as there are recording techniques(remixing/remastering) and the sampling – and last but not least Mr. Sylvian´s fine sense for sound and aestethics at all. Un cadavre exquisit? Non, mais plutôt:
good (old) wine in even more precious wineskins. À votre santé !
